Leon Jordan

Leon Jordan was a well-known civil rights leader from Kansas City, Missouri, who advocated for political awareness among the black community. He also organized a massive voter registration drive.

He served three terms in the Missouri House of Representatives, too. Back in 1970, when he was still campaigning for his fourth election, he was fatally shot.

Authorities charged three suspects, one of whom was thought to be connected with a group known as the “Black Mafia.” Charges were rapidly dropped, and the case never got solved until 2011, when brand new information resurfaced.

As it turns out, the evidence pinpointed the same three men who were initially identified as the killers. However, some people still doubt it.

Hank Killam

Hank Killam didn’t hold any political seats. In fact, he was a part-time painter who worked with a man called John Carter. Well, Carter happened to live in a boarding house back in Dallas with another vagabond known as Lee Harvey Oswald. When JFK was fatally shot, Killam and his wife fled to Florida.

However, three years later, his corpse appeared to have been thrown through a random department store’s plate glass window. His throat was slashed, but at the time, examiners ruled his passing as suicide.

Jim Leslie

Leslie was an advertising executive who, back in 1976, got involved in the legislation that kept labor unions from forcing employees to pay their dues.

On his way to celebrate this legislation, an unknown assassin fired a 12-gauge shotgun into his chest. Some people say that George D’Artois, the Public Safety Commissioner for whom he worked, was behind all this.

  1. Did the Jim Leslie killing happen in Shreveport, La. I remember something about that one. As for the Kennedy assignation, I believe it was a conspiracy of the CIA, Mafia or Lyndon Johnson behind it.
