John Middleton Clayton
Clayton was a well-known Republican congressman-elect in Arkansas when he was mysteriously murdered. After going through one of the most contested elections that ever took place in Arkansas, with stolen ballot boxes and furious voters, Clayton lost by a slim margin of 846 out of over 34,000 votes cast.
He contested and traveled to Plumerville, Arkansas, to investigate the matter. When he got there, an unknown assailant shot through the window of the local boarding house room where he was staying. He immediately perished.

Did the Jim Leslie killing happen in Shreveport, La. I remember something about that one. As for the Kennedy assignation, I believe it was a conspiracy of the CIA, Mafia or Lyndon Johnson behind it.
