Donald Trump is definitely not wasting any time to make a punch line out of some of his key allies, including Elon Musk. During his first meeting with Republican lawmakers on the Hill as president-elect, Trump asserted his power over Musk, mocking the tech billionaire for sticking around for way too long. “Elon won’t go home. I can’t get rid of him” he said on Wednesday, adding “until I don’t like him.”
The world’s richest man reportedly spent “every single day” of the last week at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, according to CNN. Musk has also been spotted golfing with the president-elect, as well as dining with him and his wife, Melania.
In fact, he has been in the room while Trump carried on phone conversations with world leaders, hopping on various calls with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell argued as well that Trump’s comments about Musk were basically an assertion of his dominance, played before a room that was forced to play along.
“Everyone laughed,” as O’Donnell recalled. “They laughed that uncomfortable laugh, you know.
However, they laugh when Donald Trump makes a joke about someone on his team, a joke that everyone knows might be true, a joke that paints that person as being pathetic, as Donald Trump’s personal sense of superiority demands that he do.”

Personally, I never saw any one work or put more money into an election than Elon Musk. The entire Nation knows that he might not have won had it not been for Elon Musk.
It would be nice to be more grateful to the contribution Musk used physically, mentally, his time, his time spent when he could have been running his own companies rather than the outlandish attacks he has cast upon him. Believe me Elon Musk spent billions on helping to get him elected. His motive largely because he knew that Trump could save our Country.

Sounds like you are just looking for cracks in Trumps mandate that he won regardless of the total onslaught of the left which you may be a part of. Sure there will be tension between various factions of this movement . There will be times when Trump disagrees with those he has previously praised and he may take a jab at them or even make fun of them. Then he will turn around say good things about them. That’s Trump. But naysayers will jump at any chance to point a finger and predict gloom and doom. But I have a feeling that in the end, Trump will, like he did before bring about a more prosperous and sane America.
I think it’s very nice that Trump has a close friend like Musk. I would consider myself fortunate if Elon was my friend.

Having grown up within the context of the U.N., I originally didn’t see it as a joke. The crucial aspect is that Donald Trump doesn’t see it as a joke. America has incredible potential — more so than any country in the world but it may never fulfill its potential, which is disappointing & sad. If only there could be an amalgamation of all the great things about the 2 parties forming 1 party that is not too radically left nor right!

If it’s a joke and everybody knows it’s a joke then it’s okay. I’m sure Trump has learned humility at this point in his presidential career and when to exhibit it. He doesn’t need to exert his power he already knows how powerful he already is, so does everyone else.
My opinion is the only people who support Trump are those who like to playand look ehere : Lie, steal and cheat because that is all he knows how to do – except to claim that the apartment on top of his New York building is 30,000 sq ft except of the 3,000 sq ft that has been published. And also look what he did to Rudy Giuliani who made a name for himself by taking down the mob and then he met Trump and look where he is now.

Trade tariffs are going to have a more devastating effect on American consumers than on China, Canada and Mexico. It’s like “shooting oneself in the foot”.
