John F. Kennedy is considered by many as the most handsome and attractive president the country has ever had, but one thing that not all citizens know about him is that he was actually a war hero.

Before he became the president of the United States, Mr. Kennedy served during World War II and he worked on a boat in the South Pacific. The story says that one day when a Japanese destroyer battered his craft, the former president saved the day and led his crew members to an island that was close to them.

Besides that, the politician even dragged an injured compatriot all the way to the shore and he succeeded in his mission by pulling his comrade’s lifejacket strap.
