Here Are 10 Good Things Trump Did for America

1. Economic Growth

Admit it or not, before COVID-19 spread uncontrollably worldwide, Trump’s administration built the world’s most prosperous economy. In that period, America gained more than 7 million new jobs. The economy grew at an impressive pace, with significant gains in GDP and the stock market. Trump’s tax cuts, especially the TAX Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, were crucial in stimulating business investment and consumer spending.

Trump’s administration focused on reducing the bureaucratic red tape many businesses claimed stifled growth. By cutting numerous regulations, Trump’s policies encouraged business expansion, contributing to the appearance of millions of jobs. The unemployment rate reached a 50-year low, and employment rates among African Americans, Hispanics, and other minority groups hit record highs. The administration achieved 40 months in a row more job openings than job-hirings, while the number of people claiming unemployment insurance hit its lowest on record.

When it comes to economic growth and job openings, it’s clear how prosperous the period when Trump was in charge was for our beautiful country.

2. Tax Reform

Trump’s Administration reformed the tax code and passed $3.2 trillion in historic tax relief. This resulted in more than 6 million Americans who received increased benefits such as wage increases and bonuses. It was the most significant overhaul of the U.S. tax code in over three decades, aiming to boost economic growth by reducing the tax burden on individuals and businesses. The act lowered the corporate tax rate from 35% to 21%, encouraging companies to invest more in the United States.

For individuals, the tax reform resulted in financial relief. Millions of American families experienced increasing disposable income. Even though the long-term benefits of the tax cuts are still debated, the impact Trump’s administration had on our country’s economy was substantial.

3. Middle East Peace Deals

Abraham Accords normalized relations between Israel and several Arab nations, including the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco. These agreements marked a significant shift in Middle Eastern diplomacy and were seen as a step towards greater stability in the region.

These peace deals were notable achievements of Trump’s administration. America plays a huge role in international relations and atmosphere, which is why the presence of a strong political leader is crucial. Once the accords were signed, there were new opportunities for trade, tourism, and technological collaboration, contributing to the overall stability and prosperity of the region.

4. Criminal Justice Reform

The First Step Act, signed into law in December 2018, was another area where Trump’s administration made notable progress. The act was a bipartisan effort that focused on some of the longstanding issues in the U.S. criminal justice system. The goal was to reduce recidivism, ease mandatory minimum sentences for nonviolent offenders, and improve conditions for prisoners.

The First Step Act resulted in the early release of thousands of inmates and provided support to rehabilitation programs to help former prisoners reintegrate into society.

How the prisoners are reintegrated is a very important subject all nations should focus on. It’s not enough to offer punishments and then totally forget about those people. They are still part of the community and the way they are welcomed back contributes a lot to the overall … of the country.

5. Deregulation

Trump’s administration prioritized reducing federal regulations, with the belief that excessive regulation hampers economic growth and innovation. The administration cut down on regulatory burdens across various sectors.

The deregulatory approach was particularly impactful in the energy sector. For the first time in 70 years, the United States became a net exporter of oil for the first time in decades, significantly reducing dependency on foreign oil and contributing to national security.

The development of natural gas and LNG infrastructure in the United States also contributed to the appearance of thousands of jobs and led to the investment of tens of billions of dollars in infrastructure.

6. Strengthening the Military

Since Donald Trump came into power, his commitment to strengthening the U.S. military was evident. Trump’s administration secured significant budget allocations to modernize and expand the military’s capabilities. One of the domains where investments were made was technology. The armed forces and the equipment were also improved during Trump’s first term as president.

The increased funding also focused on supporting military personnel by providing better pay and benefits. The administration planned to rebuild the military, enhance national security, and project strengths on the international stage.

7. Trade Agreements

During his first term, Trump renegotiated existing agreements to better serve American interests. The administration withdrew from the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and renegotiated the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), resulting in the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).

The plan with USMCA was to create more balanced trade relations, ensuring fairer conditions for American workers and industries. It included provisions to protect intellectual property, improve labor standards, and address environmental concerns.

The move to renegotiate these agreements was seen as a strategic one that focused on prioritizing American economic interests.

8. Immigration Policies

One of the most controversial aspects of Trump’s presidency was represented by his administration’s immigration policies. The Trump administration focused on enhancing security, including the construction of a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. The initiative concentrated on stopping illegal immigration and reducing the flow of drugs and human trafficking.

The immigration laws became more strictly and were harshly criticized by a lot of Americans, even though the purpose was to protect the nation. The move wasn’t seen as being as smart and inclusive.

9. Investing in America’s Workers and Families

During his presidency, Donald Trump prioritized investing in America’s workers and families through a series of policies and initiatives. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Acts of 2017, which we already spoke about, aimed to put more money into the pockets of American families by lowering income tax rates. Trump focused a lot on workforce development. His administration promoted apprenticeships, vocational training, and STEM education to equip workers with the skills needed for a modern economy.

10. Judicial Appointments

During his time as a president, Donald Trump reshaped the federal judiciary. Trump appointed over 200 judges to the federal bench, including three Supreme Court justices: Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett. These changes aimed to secure a conservative influence for decades to come. By prioritizing young, highly credentialed candidates, the administration planned to have long-term impacts on American jurisprudence.
