There’s a tremendous gap between how the US economy is going and how the public sees it. Under the Biden administration, the economy has improved significantly in terms of the critical indicators of inflation, unemployment, and growth.
But the American public feels like it’s worse than ever, which has been termed “the vibe cession.” It’s not all just perception, though. Goods that people buy on a weekly basis, like groceries and gas, are far more expensive than they were before Covid.
We should look back further than Biden’s term to see the whole economic picture. The gap between the haves and have-nots in America has widened considerably in recent decades. The middle class is starting to disappear.
Once thriving towns have struggled because jobs have moved overseas. So, politically speaking, presidents almost always pay the price when voters feel economic pain, and that would have been the case no matter if Biden or Kamala Harris was the nominee.
So Kamala Harris was left with an impossible task: to try and share the credit for the economic achievements of the Biden administration without being seen to minimize the real financial hardship many of us feel.

first of all african american woman had almost nothing to do with is as she was not one of those . I’m the past she herself even made that statement . What beat kamala was the way her and biden governed our nation since they took office . If they had governed in the middle and not far left my guess is she would have won . Open borders was most likely her biggest obstacle . No jobs are being lost to immigrants. In case you haven’t noticed, there is a labor shortage in this country. Unemployment is at a historical low. There are literally 2 jobs for every person. I have been a registered Independent for over 35 years. I have always voted and studied the candidates before voting in an attempt to vote for the right person. I voted for Republicans and Democrats. However no matter how hard I tried it seems like I always voted for the wrong person. I am speaking of local and state and federal elections.

I have been ruminating over the results of the last presidential election. Though I am disappointed, given the history of our country, I am not surprised. I did conclude that I have to re-evaluate some of my relationships with people who supported Trump, whether they understood the gravity of their decision or not.

He has surrounded himself with radical Christian nationalist, white supremist, antisemites and NAZI’s, who make no bones about their desire for ethnic cleansing, the removal of all non-white people, destroying the constitution of U.S.A. and establishing a Christian theocracy.
While most of us suffer from having to vote for the lesser evil, I considered this election as a life-or-death choice. The Trump camp is clearly a threat to my existence. Kamala had a chance until she didn’t. I think she ran a near perfect campaign, compared to Trump. The only flaw I see, looking back, is that she didn’t have enough surrogates going on every television, podcast, whatever, and repeat time and time again how horrible the economy was under Trump, even before the pandemic. They should’ve brought charts to possibly have a greater impact. All I ever saw were Kamala surrogates going on MSNBC. Big deal!

With Kamala’s inability to spontaneously converse, her anxiety, she had no recognizable skills to lead a country, let alone be a CEO of a corporation. The question would then be as it is now, with demented Biden, who is running the country?
Kamala didn’t have a “chance” for Two Primary Reasons. It had nothing to do with her economic strategies, either. If I recall the last presidential debate, at least Harris shared some semblance of constructed goals. The only thing I heard Trump mutter was, “I’ll come up with something when I become president.” Now imagine had those responses been reversed. Harris would have been annihilated. Let’s just be honest here:
1. Be real. Any time you pit a woman of color against a white man, the odds are already against her. Make that white man a billionaire and he’s already the prototype for success in America. Even if Harris’s walls were adorned with Harvard degrees, it still pales compared to any random white man on the street. He could be an organ grinder for all America cares. Our society is still very race driven (hence the 51% white Trump votes) and patriarchal (justification for why so many more black men voted for Biden). In a nutshell, our priorities as a country are an utter mess.
2. Kamala was still too tethered to Joe Biden, and America was already tired of him. When I heard Kamala admit on The View that she would likely maintain many of Biden’s current policies (I’m paraphrasing), I knew she was screwed. She had a better chance had she been more amenable to developing her own political strategies. That comment was a huge no-no.
There is a documentary film on Prime entitled “Bad Faith”. This film and another “Unfit” gave me a better understanding of why Harris lost. Our country has been moving toward Christian Nationalism since the 80″s. They would like to dismantle our current government, return women to where they belong, get the Bible back in public schools, abolish abortion, change immigration ( which is needed) and more. That is exactly what is happening today. Now they have the Supreme Court, and all branches of the government to accomplish all they want. Unfit tells a story of charisma and how Trump is the bullhorn for their movement and how he got there. Very interesting programs to me anyway.
