There’s a proposed Republican Party platform that’s expected to be approved quite soon at the next national convention held by the party, but there’s another, more detailed proposal that draws a lot of attention for some of its suggestions.

Project 2025 was made by the Heritage Foundation think tank, and runs almost 900 pages.

Believe it or not, it was spearheaded by the former Trump administration officials, and it calls for the sacking of thousands of civil servants, expanding the power of the president, and dismantling the Department of Education, some sweeping tax cuts, a serious ban on p*rnography, halting sales of the abortion pill, and many other things.

As hard as he tried, Donald Trump couldn’t really distance himself from the document, while Democrats have sought to highlight the proposals, which, according to some, might be seen as hints as to what might happen during a second Trump term. It’s also fairly common for Washington think tanks no matter their political stripes, to propose a policy wishlist for potential governments.
