During his first time in the Oval Office, the politician rolled back hundreds of environmental protections. Due to this decision, he made the country the first one to withdraw from the Paris climate agreement.
He took it a step further this time and vowed to cut regulations, especially as a way to support the nation’s car industry. He constantly made controversial comments regarding electric automobiles, vowing to reverse Joe Biden’s goals that promote the transition to greener vehicles.
He also mentioned that he plans on increasing the production of US fossil fuels, promising to “drill, drill, drill” on day one in favor of alternative energy sources like wind power. The politician added that he thinks about opening areas like the Arctic wilderness to oil drilling. According to his beliefs, this method could lower energy costs, but analysts are skeptical about it.
